| Not walking on leash Hi there, I have a 16 week old female and for some reason, when she has a collar or harness on, she will walk around but as soon as I hook that leash on she wont have it. She lays down right there and will not move. I live in an apartment complex and we are required to have all dogs on a leash so I cant let her roam around without one, any suggestions? |

| Give her time, I think all pups fight the leash initially. Someone else can give better advice on training though.

| Rocky did the same thing. My dog trainer said to leave the leash attached to him so that he would get use to it. The trainer also said that when the pup does something you do not want him/her to do you can correct them faster, than chasing the around to house first. |

| Daisy just got it how to walk on the leash. she is 11wks. I changed my harness and leash to a very light wieght one the leash and harness is all in one and it only wraps around there legs it is adjustable also. it is made by a daisy company you can it in many pretty colors at pet smart. let her walk arround the house with it on even play with it with her while she has it on. and give her lots of good girl talks and tiny treats don't give up she'll get it. my pups now see the leash and dance all over just to go for a walk and they sit still to put it on. WONDERFUL...

| Walking on a Leash My puppy won't walk on his leash if he's on the pavement. He has started to explore in the grass with me holding his leash, but he won't budge on the pavement. How is your dog doing? Any progress?
