| You can use the green apple stuff from the pet store that is suppose to detour the biting. It really is natural. You just have to consistanly correct it. Believe me they do grow out of it.

| I really think that when puppies go through the teething stage - there just isn't much you can do to keep them from wanting to chew and bite everything. I am sure this is not a "discipline issue" ..... the best you can do (other than have patience and know they will soon be through this stage) is try and find other things for them to chew on - at least part of the time. I swear I sat on the sofa in the evening with a blanket covering my whole body for a few weeks. But - I did all the other stuff too - my pup just wanted to chew on me too. It's unfortunate, he's going to be around two little toddlers. I'm sure his "chewing and biting" is going to keep their parents busy. If things get unbearable -- use a long house leash that can be tied to the foot of a chair - still giving your pup a large area to roam around in - but giving the toddlers places to go where they can get out of his reach. Aren't puppies fun!!!!! Carol Jean |
