| presley eats poop! YUCK! : HELP! my dog keeps eating and hiding his poop! I was always worried he would never eat, now he is eating .Plus dessert--->Poop.What can i do to stop this..[F][/FONT] |

| The only solution other than picking up his poop right away is to buy some tablets that deter dogs from coprophagia(eating of their own poop) you can get them at a pet store or at a vet that has some that you put in his food to deter him from doing this. It is a disgusting habit!! Good luck!!

| Mine does it too. I think she is trying to hide the evidence that she did it in the house. It is gross.

My parents have beagle - Princess - that would always eat her feces. They used a product called Deter to stop it. It's little tablets you feed the dog that gives it a bad taste (like it doesn't taste bad already!) so the dog stops eating it. It worked! Or at least for a few years. Princess is back to eating her poo again, so I'm sure they'll be buying more soon! | |

| deter worked for a week and a half..he is now back to eating poop...ugh. AND it made his stools loose!!!!!! no fun with a wiz dog!!! i am now trying hot sauce on the poop...

| Another idea is to NOT pick the poop up right away, but to spray it with Bitter End or a similar product. This is assuming that your dog doesn't try to eat his poop immediately after he goes. |
