| How much sleep is normal for a 12wk old? Hey Everyone, We just brought our puppy home on Monday, he has been sleeping a lot since he got here. Most of the day and all night, he has never even whined when put in his crate. He spends about 30-45 minutes playing and then wants to take a 3hr nap. He does this on regular cycles throughout the day. I would say he spends about 19 hrs a day sleeping. He eats three times per day, but never eats that much. I have been giving him nutrical a few times per day just to be safe. My questions are, is it normal to sleep that much? and What can I do to get him to eat more? Thanks for any help and suggestions. |

| That sounds about right. A puppy can sleep 80% of the time. Hope this helps

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sounds pretty normal, I would just continue to make sure he is eating and give him the nutrical.
