| Clicker training treats???? I have been using positive reinforcement (clicker) training methods with Spice. I'm curious to know if anyone else uses this method of training with their yorkies, particularly because of what treats they use. Spice is only 3.6 lbs and if you use clicker training, you know that you are only supposed to give very tiny treat pieces, to suit your dogs size, so that they don't take forever to chew and slow down the training session. Well, this is my problem...Spice will usually eat any type of treat, but it's hard to get anything cut up into very small pieces without them crumbling. I usually use hotdogs, which are the easiest to cut up into consistanly small pieces, but they are greasy and make a mess in my treat bag. Currently I am using Bil-Jac Liver Treats and Bil-Jac Gooberlicious PB Treats. She loves them, but it takes forever to cut them up into tiny pieces and then they start to crumble when you get them too small. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

| Train Treats and Treat Bag I make an all natural liver treat that I call Yorkie Yummies. The treats are truly "Yorkie" sized which allows many treat opportunities throughout the day without spoiling regular meals. There are 125+ treats in a one ounce bag, which sells for $3.50 which includes shipping. These treats, Yorkie Yummies are made from all human ingredients, liver, brown rice, eggs, flax seed, etc. Here are a couple of pics of the treats and training treat bags. The first picture shows just how small the treats are.... Three of the treats will fit on a US quarter. The first treat bag is a personalized training treat bag that I made for our own dear Muffie's Mom. They come with 2 ounces of treats and sell for $20.00 which includes shipping. The second treat bag is what I call a Squeak-N-Treat. It is a bone shaped training treat bag with a squeaker in the bottom. The bag comes with a handy belt loop and is filled with 2 ounces of treats. They sell for $12.50 which includes shipping. Once the treats are gone, the empgy plush bag makes a cherished toy. |

| The picture of the black and red treat bag does not do the bag justice. It is of a very high quality fabric and is done very professionally. Cindy did a beautiful job on the bag. The treats that I got from her are even SMALLER that those on the quarter. M&M love the treats!

| Those look great. How long do the treats last before they go bad?? Should they be kept in the fridge? Thanks! |

| When I first started making the treats I put some in a plastic zip-lock baggie, dated the bag and put it in a cabinet -- that was two years ago and the treats look as good as the day I first made them. That was my very scientific experiement to determine shelf-life. The treats that I sell and are, of course, fresh made. But as far as I can tell if the treats are kept in a dry cool place, they will keep indefinitely. |

| I really like Butler Lean Treats - they are made with skinless chicken and are a small size - ideal for Yorkies. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...ds=lean+treats
