| Almost there... My Bella is finally starting to get the idea of a litter box and does her business in there but.....she won't pee in there!!! I'd much rather have her peeing on my carpet than anything else but I don't know how to get her to understand that she has to do both in there! I've been really patient and just ignore it when she pees on the carpet. Sometimes, I know she has to go so I put her in there and she jumps right out and pees right in front of the box?!? Any ideas or suggestions on how to get her to do both in there? I know its hard for them to control their bladder at such a young age (she's 4 1/2 months) but I'll see her sniffing around for a minute and then squat. So, sometimes I think she knows she has to go but thinks the world is her bathroom.

| Max is 16 weeks (4 months) and basically he doesn't get to roam free in the house He's in his playpen most of the time. I take him out to play and to do training and of course to do his thing. He never pees on my carpets because he's always gone outside before we play outside of the playpen. He does mess in his playpen but I clean it up immediately and then bring him outside. Not sure that helped but just thought I'd share what I'm doing. |

| Good for her. Ollie is getting better about looking for the pee pads. but she doesn't always get there. she has gotten real good about going when I take her out, but now we are getting 18 inches of snow, so won't be tking her out for a while. I prefer that she get to the pads for peeing, the poop I can just pick up and a quick spray and it's all taken care of. The Pee soaks in, and stains. |

| You absolutely should be crating her at that age for most of the day. Crate her and when you take her out, walk her to the litterbox and don't let her out til she does her business. Let her play for a few if you wish but then put her back in the crate.
