| Aggressive and Barky Hi, our yorkie is about 8 years old. We aquired her about 2 years ago at the humane society. Thankfully our yorkie is housebroken and only rarely does she have accidents. She is the stereotypical yapper and seems to be too agressive. When sitting in my wifes lap (her favorite person in the world) any movement I make sets her off. She growls, shows her teeth, and just goes off. When I walk into a room where my wife is sitting with our yorkie she does the same thing. I know dogs bark but when I get too close she begins to nip at me. We have attempted to correct her but don't know the correct way to do so and cannot make her behave. What can we do to discipline our yorkie and make her more sociable? Thank you - Frustrated Owner |

| Hard to tell without being able to see the situation. However, I think if it occurs only if she sits on your wife's lap then you shouldn't let her sit on your wife's lap. Sorry, only thing I can think of other than calling for professional help. |
