| Training Housebroken Adult Yorkie to use Pee Pad Hi My wife and I recently adopted a 5 year old Yorkie. She is well trained and has adjusted fine to our apartment. She does not have a crate. She was trained to go outside for the bathroom. The previous owner walked her about 3 times a day. Since my wife and I both work, we wanted to see about training her on the pee pads. Right now, our Yorkie knows not to go at home. When we take her outside, I try to use words like "potty" when she goes so she associates it with going to the bathrooms, but right now she just goes in the middle of walking when she wants to, not when I tell her. What steps should we take to get her use to using the pee pads? Thanks. |
