| Pooping problem Not me... HIM!! LOL!! I have had Fizzgig since he was rescued at around 5 months old. He's a good little boy, EXCEPT for the potty training. He's now 5 YEARS old, and still will NOT use the pee pad, or even use bathroom that the pad is in! Instead he'll squirt in various place around the house (thank god I don't have carpet) or poo in a trail (poop, step, poop, step, etc). Additionally he won't poop at all unless I'm home! I can be gone all dday at work and come home to clean floors. Within a few minutes (before I even get my jacket off) he's unloading!! His older housemate, Faerie, a minpin, always uses the paper, setting a good example, but he seems to just not get it! I love him so much that this will never become the kind of issue that could mean re-homing him, I mean it's been 5 freakin' YEARS, so I can't imagine that, but if anyone could help, it would make our life so much happier (he always knows what he's done, and has that sad look on his face that tells me he's left me a little gift somewhere in the apartment) Thanks all. |

| I would crate train him. Every 2 hours or what u think to go outside. Use positive reinforcement outside when he goes outside. I wouldnt let him out of the crate if i wasnt home and i'd take him outside as soon as i got home. If he continued to potty in the house, i would gate him in 1 area and tell him bad boy if he pottied inside. Be consistent. I dont know how u dealt with it so long. Good luck, hope it gets better.

| Welcome to YT ! So you say he does the poop trail ? Poop, step,Poop, step. I know exactly what you are talking about with this & this can be a sign of a spine, pelvis or knee issue & could be why he doesn't use the pads. I would be looking into a vet visit to get the things I mentioned checked out as he could be in discomfort. |
