Puppy Training Puppy Apartment Hello. I have a 4 month old Yorkie that had started being potty trained on a puppy pad before I got her. The theory about dogs don't potty where they sleep isn't true in my case. She refused to go potty outside and didn't like to go out there period. I got her some puppy pads finally and she will go on them if that is her only other option but will still sometimes pee on her bed. I just ordered the PTPA and hoping it's the miracle I'm needing. I know it won't happen overnight and I have to be consistent. My boss allows me to bring her to work with me so i work with her all day. She is so sweet and smart I just don't understand why she doesn't get this. My husband sleeps during the day so even if I wanted to crate train I couldn't leave her in there to cry all day long. When I say crate train I mean with them holding their potty for hours and limiting there food and water. If she wants to use the puppy pads I am all for it because the weather is nasty and I don't want to walk around in that either. Sorry I'm rambling. So did anyone else have any experience with the puppy apartment?

Poop on rug I have the same issue with my puppy she's 6 mos old now she refuses to go outside but she goes on the pad. Lately she has been peeing on the pad which is in the bathroom, then goes to my front door and poops on the entry rug. I have sprayed the rug with the sprays. A friend told me to sprinkle cayenne pepper and nothing is working. Last edited by MCollazo; 12-03-2015 at 11:52 AM.

Well I did get the puppy apartment. I used it for its intended purpose for about a week and half. If I had kept up with it I think she would have gotten it but not nearly as quickly as all the reviews. She was spending a lot of time in there (waiting for her to potty) and most times she would go right off to get out but she started whining a lot when I would put her in there at night which she never did before. She wouldn't go in there on her own. After a while Of doing that, I let her go potty outside and she seemed soooo happy so I quit with the only inside thing and she has had about 3-4 accidents since. That's all. I don't know what changed but I'm not complaining. I still don't trust her and don't leaver alone to roam if I can't watch her but my staying consistent. Good luck!!!
