| Exercise pen climbing, TIPS????? Our girl has became a leap frog. We have a house sitter coming this week and I need to figure out something to put over the exercise pen so she can't climb out. Any suggestions? |

YT 500 Club Member | My little one @ 12 weeks climbed out of his too. Right on very hard tile floor. Scared the Hokies out of me. Once these houdinis do it once well.... We had to buy a play pen made of canvus with a top on it. He doesn't get out now. Check Amazon. Good luck |

| I saw a post on here the other day that showed an exercise pen and they had a mesh netting over the top that had Velcro straps you could strap it down to the ex-pen. I googled mesh netting for exercise pen and found some stuff. You could check into that for your Houdini |

YT 1000 Club Member | I am going to follow this thread because when I brought home my puppies I had this lovely area for them with vinyl flooring in case of accidents and an exercise pen to keep them in their area. Yeah, girl monkey puppy climbed over the pen the very next morning. I have a baby gate that will span the area, but took away at least 6-8 inches of it all the way across. I think okay, that will be alright. She climbed the gate the following day. Little sweet boy puppy stays wherever I put him. Girl also climbed out of the baby play pen that I was using for them as well. Crazy puppies!

| Bella climbs out of her pen too. We took the puppy gate that we tried to use to block her in her area (yeah, she realized that she could climb that too) and put it over the top of her play pen. That way she still gets the unobstructed view and ventilation and she can't sneak over the top of the pen.

YT 1000 Club Member | I say that about the boy puppy staying... he can squeeze through the baby gate that is meant to keep the dogs in the main areas of the house. The openings are maybe 3-3 1/2 inches and he just scoots right through. The other puppy and Teek can not fit through there. We blocked it with cardboard until he gets bigger though, so he is kept in.

| Hi everybody! I'm a new member here and would like to ask you, guys a question. We are adopting a little girl (no name yet) At the time we bring her home she will be 11 weeks old. Unfortunately she will have to stay home alone at least for 5-6 hours a day. I will have a friend coming over to check on her for the first 2 weeks during that time. I was wondering if leaving her in a 45" playpen would be a good idea? Something like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/258816309809573531/ Thank you! |

| That would be deluxe accommodations! Put a bed in one part, food and water in another and puppy pads all over a third section. A couple of favorite toys and doggie should be ok.

| I have a Chi that climbs out of her playpen. And she's a submissive peer so that's kind of bad. My husband made a top for the playpen out of pvc pipe and mesh screen. Worked great.
