| Mystified with potty habits at 13 months Hi there, I brought little Gracie home on the day she was 8 weeks old. We went through a looooong period of potty training crating her at night and having her in a play pen during the day. Finally she seemed to have it and would let me know when she needed to go out with minimal accidents. When the weather turned cool she seemed to change. She still lets me know sometimes if she needs to go out. However she is having more accidents. The odd thing is that if she has an accident she will come to me and bark incessantly until I get up and she leads me to the accident to let me know. Bless her heart. This is a tough one! She clearly means well but I can't seem to convey that we do not potty in the house at all. She will not use a wee wee pad ever. Any suggestions greatly appreciated Juie

| Maybe she feels too cold to go out and tries to hold it for as long as possible. Do you put sweater/jacket on her before she's let out? |

| I wish my Reese would tell me when he has to go! But maybe you should just start taking her out more often? Do you go right out and right back in or does she take a little while to go? And I agree, maybe she does need to be bundled up a little more and might be sensitive to the cold. I've been getting kind of lazy with my puppy, but we're out and back in so fast that there's no point in bundling him up every time, just when I know he needs to poop which takes a few minutes more. |
