Only poops inside/Wee-Wee pad question Sadie has decided she will only poop inside. She used to go outside, but suddenly stopped. At least I finally got her to go on the wee-wee pad inside, but I would love for her to start going outside again. Every once in a blue moon she will still go outside and I praise her for it. I try to reward her with a treat when she goes outside but she doesn't want it, which is odd because she LIVES for treats. :-) We walk for 15-20 minutes every morning and as soon as we come back in the house she runs to the wee-wee pad and goes poo. She WILL pee outside on our walk, just not the other. How do I get her to go outside again?
On another note, she refused to use the wee-wee pad in the room where I wanted her to during potty training. She kept peeing on the same spot on the floor during potty training so I just gave up and put the wee-wee pad there and now that is where she goes if we don't get outside in time or it is raining, etc. Is there a way for me to train her to use the wee-wee pad somewhere else? Her "spot" is right in the middle of the hall and it is not very convenient or asthetically pleasing. :-) She also keeps peeing on the edges of the wee-wee pad instead of in the middle where it is absorbent so it runs onto the floor, which is laminate, so that is damaging the wood if I don't catch it in time. She is trying to do the right thing, it just isn't working out well. I put some water bottles on the edges of the wee-wee pad today. Will see if that works to solve the last problem....... |
