| potty problems Hi, I'm new to YT. I have a 13 week yorkie. We've had her for 3weeks. She seemed to be progressing on her training with maybe 2accidents a day. But recently she has been going everywhere, even though we use a spray to clean. We've continued with punishments, but it's just not working. Any suggestions? |

| Start over with her. Start taking her out every half hour for potty breaks and praising her every time she goes, or even squats. Gradually move the times a little farther apart. Try a bell or similar noise maker every time you take her out so that she puts two and two together and will eventually start ringing the bell on her own to let you know she needs out. Have a TON of patience with her, she's just a baby and Yorkies are notoriously hard to potty train! When she does have an accident do NOT hit her. A simple "NO" then scoop her up and take her outside where you tell her "Potty" will work so much better. |
