| Yorkie barks at strangers entering house Can anyone help me with this issue we are facing with our 5 year old, recently adopted Yorkie? We adopted him about 6 months ago. In that time he has gone from a wallflower to a territorial dude. Whenever someone other than the two people who live here comes to our door (either ringing doorbell or knocking, or me walking them in from the driveway), he barks at them as if they are an intruder. He actually will bolt towards my housekeeper, even after she has been in the house for an hour. Interestingly, he rarely barks at strangers in the neighborhood on his walks. I am currently repeating the command "quiet" and snapping my fingers to try to keep him quiet. Any tips are much appreciated. |
