Behavior/Puppy issues So our little guy is 8months old, we've had him since he was 12 weeks. We had biting issues in the beginning but thats it. In the last month it's been quite an issue. We can't leave the house for 3 seconds without him tearing up anything he can find. Some of it was our fault for leaving things in reach, the other let me tell he will find something! Our biggest fear is the we're going to come home to our furniture being torn to shreds. Yes we could crate him to solve this problem, and believe me we are getting there! Now it's getting to the point where he does it even when we are home, if we're not paying attention to him. I legit sat down to paint my nails this afternoon, normally he sits under my feet. Walked into the hallway to see he tore the toilet paper roll completely apart. This is all the time, literally. Now we can't crate him every time we can't pay attention to him for five seconds. I'm guessing it's puppy issues, and that he'll grow out of it in time and we just have to deal with it. But he's testing our patience! When we first got him he spent some time alone because both me and my FI worked. I became unemployed in Feb and since have been home with him every day. I leave him in the morning to go to the gym and run errands and thats it. I feel like it's my fault for the change in his behavior cause he went from being home alone to me being home all the time. Any advice you guys can offer in ways to deal with his behavior would be much appreciated

Any reason you're choosing not to crate him or use an exercise pen?

Honestly because I'm too sensitive and it makes me upset :/ I feel like a bad Mom. Were gonna get him on a crate this week and give it a try. When we first got him we limited his access by keeping him in the kitchen. He did such a good job and we didn't have any issues so we decided not to crate him because we didn't have any issues. This literally just started this past month :/
