| Well crap Cookie has been housebroken for months (she is 1 year, 1.5 months), and now she has peed in the house 3 times in the last week or week and a half. The only thing I can think of is she's drinking more water now that our temperatures are starting to get in the 90s. She seems like she's getting a little more mischievous lately too. Any ideas what's happening?

| But tonight she jumped on the bed and peed. I wonder if it's marking? She marks like crazy when we go on walks (including this afternoon), but she has been doing that since her first walk at 4 months old.

| Could she possibly have a UTI?

| I haven't seen any of the symptoms like having trouble urinating or peeing only tiny bits, other than when she makes tiny pees to mark while on walks (but she never does that in the yard). Her abdomen doesn't seem tender or anything like that. I wonder if I'm screwing up by taking her out to play instead of when I was training her when I'd put her on a leash, make her pee, and then take it off and let her play. Didn't figure I needed to do that any more once she got trained.

| Looks like the problem is going away with a little closer supervision.

| Gracie has had "accidents" when things change in the household. When a daughter moved out, when another sibling moved in....I don't know if it is because she is upset or confused with the change but we fix it. I start watching her much more closely when this happens. When she goes potty where she should she gets a treat and some extra hugs and kisses. It doesn't take long to get her back on track. |

| Do you have a "Potty" command? Makes life much easier, especially at night, have a schedule and command, most times instant (within minutes) 1 or 2 |

| ARGGGHHHHH, my Cookie Monster is conning me. It's either take me outside to play all day, or I squat down here in the living room. So now I have her cordoned off into a small area and am starting to do like when potty training: take her on a leash and then as soon as she pees or poops take the leash off so she can play. If it was up to her though, daytimes would consist only of naps and going outside to chase lizards, squirrels, and birds lol.

| Wish I had a great answer for you. Still working on house trianing ourselves. What if you were to try tethering her? If it breaks the habit for a few days, maybe it will stick with her again. Is she spayed? Maybe it is a marking type thing? |

| I got Cookie spayed back in November when she was 7 months old. She has been great on potty training from 6 months until the end of April, but with the weather warming up it's like she's demanding to be out all the time. It's not let me out, I gotta go squat. It's let me out, I gotta chase lizards and birds! Frustrating to deal with an accident a week again when she was down to once every couple of months before.

| I strongly suggest a trip to the vet with a urine sample--I've known of 2 females with those exact symptoms and both had UTIs.

Agree! Rather safe than sorry.....if it is a UTI, it will get worse without treatment....if it is a ploy to get more outside time, or a potty training issue, it wont change, and that will have to be addressed! | |

| I took a urine sample in and no UTI. She has been good for 10 days now. I have been taking her out on a leash and then releasing it once she pees or poops when she asks out like when I was first potty training her. She really loves being outside since she constantly has things to chase.
