| Training 6 Year old dog Good Morning, I just recently moved into an apartment and my dog is 6 years old. In my recent house we had hard wood floors and now we have carpet. Also, In my last house there were people around all day to let him out when needed but now it just me and i work 8 hours a day. I leave the house at 615a and get home at 615p. I didnt feel comfortable crating him since he has never been crated so I blocked him in the kitchen with food and water and I also put his bed and toys in there. Im kinda nervous since this is a new place but should I also put a pad in there for him to use since hes home about 12 hours by his self? |

| I think 12 hours is a lot to ask of even a trained dog. If he has not used a puppy pad in quite a while then he will have to learn. Try getting a good frame to put them in so the pads don't get ripped up and tossed all over your kitchen. |
