| At my wit's end with indoor potty training!! ! Hello, I have a 1.5 year old Yorkie who goes potty indoors. I use a puppy pad in a corner of the bathroom. Half of the time she uses the pad, the other half she goes on the bathroom floor or even just outside the bathroom. I'm so frusrated because I always throw out the pad when it's dirty and there's no reason for her to not use it! I've been dealing with this since I got her at 2 months of age and I cannot take it anymore. My roommate gets very angry with me when she ends up stepping in the mess or having to clean up after her. PLEASE HELP!! |

| Some dogs who are pad trained don't get that there is only one area in the house to go. outdoor train or lock in area where potty messes are okay (and leash her to you when she is roaming) or crate train or consider diapers (can cause problems, so be careful). This may be a life long issue and yorkie owners (who have owned many) will eventually come across one that won't be 100% trained.

| I would put her in an expen in your bathroom. Fill the expen with pee pads so no floor is showing. Take one pad away each day or two. Leave the last one where you want her to go every day. Praise the heck out her when she does it right and do not let her out of that pen unsupervised..at all. when you get down to one try removing the pen but leaving the one pad. . |
