| GO in the TENT!! My dog, Biggie got the tent bed pictured below for Christmas from my parents. And he doesn't want to go inside it? Part of the reason why my parents got it for him was because he likes going under the bed to sleep and he likes jumping in my fresh laundry and covering himself with the clothes and just lounging. He didn't have his own bed before. I've tried putting chew toys in there, food, and even putting him in there while he was sleeping and continuing to pet him (he stayed for a few minutes then jumped out). In all the other situations he took the item's out of the tent. How can I get Biggie to like the tent?

| Maybe try putting in his favorite blanket or towel with you scent on it. No other suggestions. Good Luck. Just thought if he liked clothes out of dryer, maybe he would like towels to cuddle up to. |

| I have a fleece jacket my Kelsey loves. It usually winds up on the floor bc she loves to lay on it and likes the scent of me on it I'm guessing. You should put some treats in there or get her attention with some treats and when she goes in say "good girl" and give her the treat. She will begin to love it, she's just not used to it. Give her some time...

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Give him time - I wouldn't worry about it - if he likes it, he likes it - if not - then you just got a cute addition to your room and one day he just may find out it's pretty cool in there. my girls have one of those fabric houses - do they sleep in it ? noooooope !! Do they WRESTLE in it ? oh yes the house bounces all over the den and they have a ball This is a picture of the day I set it up - ( I love it) it looks like Chanel is laying flat on her back laughing her butt off - this is what the house STILL looks like when they're in it...then I added a butt shot pic both trying to fit thru the door at the same time |

| I'd throw little treats in there for him. At first, I'd lure him in with a good smelly treat a few times. Then, I'd occasionally throw in a yummy treats when he wasn't looking. Let it be a place where "treats rain down from Heaven"!

| I would put treats inside the tent then completely ignore Biggie and the tent. He might be playing a game with you, you know Yorkies are good at those attention getting games. Every time you see him near the tent then praise him hugely. |

| I have the fabric houses for my Yorkies. It's so funny to watch them bouncing around in it. Who needs to watch TV! They do take naps in the houses. I have the pet heating pads in them which they love. |

| My dogs have a tent bed and a sack like bed that is similar to a tent bed and they LOVE them. Its their favorite beds and I think its because they feel secure in them. Give it time and I am sure he will go in it.

| Your dog may NEVER like that tent. My dad spent weeks making the greatest doghouse in the world for his dog. The doghouse was placed on the patio where the dog usually slept. But, his dog wouldn't use it. My dad even took a sleeping bag outside and tried sleeping beside the doghouse (with the dog in it) to try and keep him there. This didn't work. The dog just got out and slept beside my dad. Over the years, my dad's dog never used the doghouse, but his grandchildren play in it constantly. They thought it was a playhouse made especially for them. It even had windows they could poke their heads out of. Good luck! Carol Jean |
