| this is how i trained cedric....pee pad in the tub...he could not get out and i would not take him out until he did his business. he caught on real quick as he wanted out of da tub......i would sit and watch and when he went on the pad major praise and lovins and removal from da tub.

| The tub is a brilliant idea--I never thought of that! I took 4 panels from an x-pen and made a square pen exactly the size of a potty pad and dropped Bella inside when I was first potty pad training her--that worked too. The nice thing about reconfiguring the x-pen is that I could use a panel that has the gate you can open, so I still use this for Bella, I just keep the gate open so she can go in and out. That way, she can't do any near-misses at the edge, and it keeps the pad in a well-defined area. I'll post a photo of the set-up when I get home from work this evening. |
