| Completely LIVID!!! I put Blake in his Xpen this morning as I got ready for work. He was out from 4 am until almost 7. He was walked, fed and loved on. He even sang me through my shower (okay...he screamed at me cause he couldn't get to me!). As I got dressed I heard him screech in rage, and walked in to see that he had rearranged his pen. (It was an "AH HAAAA!" moment as I realized that his temper was the reason he has been ripping his pee pads up. I plan on changing to washable ones as soon as I can get into town tomorrow). I just calmly set things back right, then walked out the door. Can't wait to see what I find when I go home for lunch... |

| Oh no, Blake! Believe it or not, it does get easier and before you know it, the puppy days are over. Max threw little puppy tantrums when the sun went down. He hated for the day to end and would attack his bed.

| Hannah just starting tearing up her pads too!! She turned 5 mos. old on May 6th and was about 75% potty pad trained until recently when I bought a different brand of pads. Now she tears them up everyday!! I keep toys with her all the time so I'm not sure if it's the new pads or just her way of saying let me out of this cage! I have one washable and am getting ready to buy more. I let her out of her play pen a few minutes ago and 1st thing she squatted on my carpet so she's in time out right now. I think she knows better but just doesn't care. She's a BRATT and it's all my fault!

| Aww, he knows mommie was leaving and his frustration at being left just got the better of his Yorkie temperament. The little hams - they hate not being constantly attended to and detest being alone, especially when puppies as they are pack animals, genetically programmed to want to stay together with at least part of their pack at all times. He's doing all he can to handle his stress from what's coming and one day as he matures, he'll come to accept this as his lot in life and begin to realize that hey, wait - mommie comes home every time and then we have a ball and I can just rest and watch the house while she's away. Once he begins to own his territory, he will accept he's in sole control of the home while you are away and take his job as security patrol seriously. In the meantime, get the cloth pads and enjoy him. Blake sounds like a cutiepie with tons of spirit.

| Well, lets see, Blake is almost 14 weeks now. When I made it home at lunch, all was well and he was sleeping. I went ahead and got some washable pads and put them out when I leave for the day. The first time I put them out, he dragged them over to his bed, so I had to tape it down so he couldn't move it. So far, so good! |

| I had to switch to the washable ones for a while. Pixie was a master shredder. She did outgrow it and we are back to the disposable.

YT 2000 Club Member | Sorry, but this thread is funny! I love that you all have a sense of humor through all the trials and tribulation of puppyhood! I can only say this because I haven't had much of a problem with shredded puppy pads or tornado xpens! Thank Goodness that I am able to stay home with my babies 99 percent of the time of the time! Yorkies are a people loving dog and don't like being left alone!

| haha, when Mitsi was a puppy I couldnt even go into the restroom alone, She would run and start hitting the door and howling. She doesnt do that now, instead Our bathroom doors lock is broken so it can be pushed open, so She just pushes it open, takes in the veiw and waggles Her tail and runs off to play. Or I emerge from the shower to find My bathroom FULL of dog toys |
