Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Potty training frustration I figured I would start a thread for all us potty training gals to vent about their little puppy accidents. Here is mine. . . Galen two days in a row he peed in his crate first thing in the morning. I have not over slept. I don't know why but it is so frustrating. the worse part I do not have a washer in the house.

| Rufus had a horrible phase..when we first got him he was trained to potty on the newspaper and that was awesome! But after a couple of months he started peeing on the beds No matter what we did, he kept on peeing on the beds..we were so relieved when he got over that phase..

| During jasmin's potty training stage, I got 6 bath towels and 2 fleece blankets for her cage. I wait until they are all dirty before washing. I used to only have the two fleece blankets and have to do laundry for her every 3 day. Wasted so much money. Now I do laundry for her once every two to weeks. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Teeka was a stubborn one to potty train......she was notorious for sneaking behind the couch and pooing! Thank goodness we are done with that business!

| I'm glad I'm not the only person with a puppy that pees in her crate. I know it's my fault though. I'm not a morning person so sometimes I just let her cry and she ends up peeing in her crate :-( I feel bad about it. And now sometimes she just goes to the crate to pee! She is still learning to tell me if she needs to go outside. I have a bell that she rings sometimes...and once in awhile she will bark at the door. It's just frustrating! Gotta love yorkies....

| Potty Training Frustration Ok...my fault! I'm trying to potty pad train Hannah. I keep pads in her kennel and play pen. Just now...I let her out of my sight so she went and poo on the carpet. My fault because I was not watching her. But on a reg. basis she goes on the kennel floor when a potty pad is right there. I do praise her when she goes on the pad which is 75% of the time. I just don't understand why she is not at a 100% yet. I've had her since Feb. 7th.

| I am a BAD MOMMY I can't seem to get Nibblet trained! She has a wee-wee pad in her room where she sleeps at night. She sleeps in the Master Bathroom in her puppeh Shangrila. Sometimes I put her in her crate and bring her out to sleep with me, but I don't like doing that because it keeps her away from her wee-wee pad if I do. (Of course, if she barks, I'm up and she goes into the bathroom for her wee-wee pad.) She can't sleep in the bed with me because the bed is high off the ground, and she's just under three pounds. If she falls out of the bed, she'll die. ANYWAY, I bring her downstairs, and either one of three things will happen: 1.) if she hasn't gone potty, I let her out in the back yard (when I say, "let her out", she's on a lead, with me, and I never leave her side. I check the trees for hawks, etc., and make sure the gate is locked before her feet even touch the ground), we either go for a walk (if I'm dressed), or I bring her downstairs, put her in the powder room with a wee-wee pad, tell her to "do her business", and let her out when she's done. 2.) I have a pad holder for her in the MB. She'll use her wee-wee pad in the holder there. If I use a pad holder with pad anywhere else in the house, she won't use it. 3.) She sometimes pees on the wee-wee pad, and poop off of it, which is fine in the powder room - not when she does it on the carpet AFTER I've let her out. In the MB, she pees and poops on the wee-wee pad which is in a pad holder. 4.) She will only use the wee-wee pad in the Master Bathroom, and mostly in the downstairs powder room, but she will ONLY use the wee-wee pad in the powder room if I put her in there, and close the door. She will NOT use the wee-wee pad in the powder room downstairs when she needs to go - she's using the carpet. The spot carpet shampooer is getting a real workout! What am I doing wrong? Am I not walking her enough? How do I get her to consistently use her wee-wee pad if we don't go out? (Nibblet does NOT do walks in the rain or snow - she's made that very clear!) I'm a bad Mommy. How do I mend the error of my ways? |
