| Will he ever sleep through the night? Dexter is 12 weeks old today and he have had nights which he slept through. And even one day where he woke up with alarm and not before it! But most of the time he wakes up in the middle of the night to go potty. When will he sleep through the night? We try to keep him up as long as we can (usually 'til about 11) and also walk him right before bed, but he still wakes up around 4 AM. Yesterday we decided to put him into crate for the night, in our bedroom (before he was sleeping in his bed in our bedroom). He woke up at 2 AM and then 6:45. The crate is used for house braking purposes. Are we doing it right? |

| Yes, a time will come that he can make it through the night, but it'll be awhile yet. My Gracie Ruth needed to get up usually around midnight and then again at 4. She finally stopped the midnight run, but 4 a.m. hung on for quite awhile. She's 5 yrs old now and for the last year she has become my "sleep in" buddy. She'll pretty much stay in bed with me for as long as I want. And as annoying as it is to get up in the middle of the night, I'd much rather they wake me to go potty then have an accident in the bed or house. Hang on, it'll get better, this phase doesn't last forever.

| I hope it gets better.... Puppies usually can hold it longer once they are older. But I will say that my Seymour still has a habit of getting up once during the night to go peepee and get a drink of water. It has been something he has done since day one. It is just the way his "clock" works!

| My Brooklyn is 8 weeks almost 9 weeks and the first few nights she would whine at night and wake me up. However one night my boyfriend left his work boots in a corner of our room and she will lay by them all day. That night she did not wake us. I know she woke up to use the bathroom because i saw fresh pee on the pads but she just used the potty and then went back to lay next to his boots. The only problem is when he leaves to go to work she wakes up and i have trouble getting her to lay back down so today he switch his boots with his sneakers. So I think what I am going to do is get a blanket and the both of us sleep with it so it has our scent and put it in her kennel. |

| It so cute how she just wants to be with your things! Dex also like OUR "toys" like cellphones, shoes and etc, but he likes to chew on them lol Wish he would also just lay next to them. |

| Seymour goes outside or on a washable pee pad. In the winter, we have an xpen in the garage with a pee pad in it. We will take him out there and he goes asap and we take him back inside. We also have pee pads inside for those .... "I just can't wait to go out moments" but he usually goes to the door and wants to go out or in the garage. Everynight between 2 and 3 a.m. I am glad that my hubby don't mind catering to him, too! (He has always been DH's buddy)
