| Growling while wagging tail My 5 month old yorkie only does this with me. He will lay against me with a growly talking sound, then lay his mouth against me. Not really biting but talk growling the whole time. He may start pawing at me. I say no and put him down. In awhile I will let him come back up and soon he starts the same thing. His tail is wagging the whole time. |

| My 2 year old Biewer did this the very first day I brought her home. I was sitting in the chair, and she put her front feet up on my leg and growled. I froze! Lol, then I thought I would have been warned if she was vicious (I hope), so I said "What???? You growling at me?" And I reached down and picked her up and sat her on my lap.... that's all she wanted. I think some pups are just more vocal about things... now my 15 year old has picked it up and he growls at me too! And yes with the pawing too... they either want to play or to be held....

| Sounds like what Joel does when he wants to play, because he knows barking means potty so he makes every noise possible thats not barking, lol |

| In your situation, sounds like all play. Wag of a tail does not automatically or always = happy/play. A lot of times dogs wag their tail in fight mode.

| That is so cute. Sounds just like my cat when she wants a treat. She sleeps with her face next to my face lol. Because of that, new puppy will have to sleep in her crate. Don`t want the cat to hate her. |
