| Re-Training my 3 year old My Romeo is almost 4 now and was crate trained when he was just a puppy. Because he is indoors during the weekdays I trained him to use a pad, however in the last year or so he has started going in different places in the house and I want to change this behaviour but I am not home when he does it. Is he too old to potty train again and is crate training the correct way to go at his age? I am also thinking about getting another yorkie as a play mate so i will be crate training the new pup at some point. |

do you have an x pen ? that would give him/them more freedom during the day but still confined so they cant pee all over the place. what you do of course is your decision , but i personally do not believe in leaving a dog in a crate all day . mine are in their crates at night only , just for sleeping. well good luck with your training. | |

| I don't have an X pen, but I do have one of the child gates and a hallway that I can use to confine them. Great I think I will start his re-training program ASAP. Thanks |
