| Rescued yorkie won't stay alone at night Hello, Yesterday I adopted the cutest little Yorkie from a shelter. He seems to be doing great and adapting to my family really well but at night he won't be alone. When we went to sleep we put him on the couch all confy, went to the room and shut the door. He started scratching the door and wouldn't stop. My boyfriend told me I wait a fee minutes saying that he would stop eventually. He didn't. I felt so sorry for him. Brought him to the room and put him sleeping next to the bed on a chair with a blanket. I woke up today with him sleeping on my pillow next to my head. He's around four years old. Came from a home that had another 60 yorkies. No wonder they had to get rid of them. How can I make my new baby to feel at home and safe at night? Thanks |

| If he was with 60 dogs before he is used to sleeping with a pack so he doesn't want to be alone. All my pets sleep in my room. Yorkie and cats in the bed. Golden retriever on the floor in his own bed.

| Is there a reason you don't want him sleeping in your room? I would get him a nice comfy bed and put it on the floor next to your bed. I wouldn't want to be left a lone either.

| Daisy usually goes to bed a little earlier than I do. She falls asleep smack-dab in the middle of the bed. I try not to disturb her while I find the edge of the bed (which is MY spot) I've gotten quite good at falling asleep while teetering on the edge. |

| When I got Bella, I tried to have her sleep in her crate. Did not work. Put her in bed with us and she went out in nothing flat. Been sleeping there ever since. Congrats on your new addition. You all are gonna be so blessed. |
