YorkieTalk Newbie! | Newbie Me! Hello All! I am new to the YorkieTalk forum. I have 2 Yorkies, and like some of you, they are my children (for now) . Gordon, is my oldest. He is 7 years old, and is very calm! I got him when he was 9 months, he was already potty trained, and very well mannered. My younger one is a girl, and is 4 months old. Her name is Roxy. I have read a lot of people having challenges when trying to train Yorkies, but I have been blessed that she is not quite as stubborn as I was expecting, but some days I wish it was easier. She is getting better at the potty training, but sometimes she just doesn't want to care it seems. Is there any helpful hints on training her?. Also, we just had Gordon's hair cut because his hair was long compared to her, and he looked like a 'rag-a-muffin'. Well now, that his hair is cut, hers looks so long!.. Lol. What is the normal age for them to get their first haircut? Thanks ahead of time for any or all responses |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | WELCOME to YT ! Your babies sound adorable. I totally agree with you in that they are our little children...me and my hubby are the same way. We need some piccies! As far as your haircut question, I keep Marcel and Pfeiffer in a full coat (except Pf's face is trimmed a bit)...but Wylie is in more of a puppy cut bc it just suits his personality...I prob trim/cut him every few months.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Thank You!! ... Yes I have plenty of pictures to come!. I just got a new mac so everything isn't on it yet. . I like to have them medium, I don't want to short, but I don't like a lot of hair. I could definitely never make them show dogs ;-) lol. |
