| Where do we go from here? Hi everyone! Lilo and i are looking for some suggestions for what else we can learn since we are training everyday now and she seems to be catching on fast. Right now at 5 months we know sit, sit pretty (she sits on her bottom with her front paws up), dance, paw, other paw, high five, high ten, turn around, otherway (turn around the opposite direction), stay, beg, down, & crawl. We're working on rollover and Bang! ( when you point your fingers into a gun and she drops on her back) which is pretty hard for her but we keep trying. But in the meantime it would be great to have some suggestions for where to go from here. :] After we learn the next two i've pretty much run out of ideas for what to do besides perhaps taking an advance dog training class. We know its best to work up from what we know and i know that there are a lot of smart yorkies on this site that know many tricks. So any suggestions on what you've all taught your pups and how would be great. We're open to anything. Someone suggested she learn to close the door but she doesnt have enough weight to do that quite yet. HAHA |

| Ok, you're just bragging - lol :-) We're still working on 'come'! You're doing a great job if you've got her trained to do all that stuff. Maybe "get me my coffee" or ??? |

| Haha get me coffee would be great if that was possible. I saw a video where they taught a lab to get a beer from the mini fridge but that looks pretty hard. She knows all the tricks and does them with or without treats. we make her do "a trick" for anything she wants like food or playtime or to throw the ball for her. Thats why she learned so quickly i think. but "come" was a hard one for us when we started but once you get the ball rolling they get it pretty quickly. i know a yorkie that knows numbers at 8 months old in our meet up group! her owner says count to 3 and she paws at the air 3 times 0_0 sooo cool! |

| I started by setting out just two toys, a ball and a fish. And told her to "get the fish", when she did I praised her and if she picked up the ball, I said NO, "get the fish". Once she knew the fish, I asked for the ball (which I think she pretty much knew already from playing fetch with the ball). When she had those two down I added another toy and repeated the process, then another toy, then another. Now she knows most of her toys by name.

| How about rolling over continuously? Kaji rolls over 3 times in a row without pausing and then rolls over all the way back. I don't know if crawl is on your list. That one we have yet to master. Sometimes Kaji sticks his butt up in the air while doing the army crawl!

| Drop it and leave it are two you need to teach for fun as well as safety reasons. Other than that, you could teach her left hand from right hand. And then theres always basketball. |
