| Age yorkie can stay in kennel all night I'm wondering how old, on average, yorkies have to be before they are able to hold it all night and stay in their kennels? I read somewhere that 10-12 weeks and they should be able to. Our little one is 7 months and still can not hold it all night all the time so I set up a play area for him and took the door off of his kennel so that he can come and go as he needs to. Thanks Baylee's Mom |

| Crate training takes extreme patience and a lot of time. I have always put my pups in cages that were large enough to hold them and a wee pad. So basically I have a yorkie in a cage that is big enough for a boxer. You have to stay consistant though with keeping them in the crate. The build up technique works great, you extend the time they are in the crate little by little. They will have accidents but that too shall subside with age. Usually most pups are housebroken by the time they are 12 months. Good luck and have patience.
