| Crate size! My 5 month old yorkie grew a lot faster (and bigger than expected, a whopping 7 pounds!). We have a Petmate kennel, the plastic travel style, medium sized, 23x15.2x11.84. She can lay down just fine, and she can stand up just fine, but she can't extend her head all the way up, she has to duck down a bit. She seems comfortable when she's in there, should we go a size bigger? Thanks! |

| If is only her safe sleeping place that is fine. If you put her in it when you are making a run to the grocery, picking up children etc. The next size up would be better.

| I buy the Dr Foster & Smith crates. They have more ventilation and are taller than most.Less expensive, too! Ziva's is 24 x 16 x16H. |

| I think I'll jump up to the 24 x 18 x 19 size. Give her a bit of headroom. Probably will go with the wire one this time, and deck it out with some killer pillows and blankets and stuff

| I am not a very feminine man at all, but when it comes to this puppy I can't help it. You know how every time they show the inside of a genie bottle it looks like the most comfortable place ever? That's my goal with her living area. I don't think that size will be too big, she's 5 months and hasn't gone in her kennel since she was a little under 3, but I still don't want to give her too much room. Really appreciate the responses.
