| Proof the patience and perserverance pays off! Another praise over Sadie's behavior thread. I've had issues in the past where she has attacked Bentley over a cookie. So since that started I always made Sadie sit and wait while Bentley ate his cookie and then gave her one. Well Sadie came in the house first today from outside and got her cookie first. Then Bentley came in and I forgot to tell Sadie to sit and was getting Bentley to sit. I turned around to tell Sadie to sit and stay like I usually ask her to do and she was already sitting there smiling at me waiting for her extra cookie for being good and not attacking him. WOW what an improvement and she's really getting it now. I'm working so hard to teach her that fighting gets her a "time out" from her family and that sitting, waiting patiently for treats gets her even more treats. She also had another good "drop it" moment when she ran off with my brand new VS undies and instead of chasing her like we used to I said "STOP" and "Drop It" and she did both...she got more cookies!! GOOOO SADIE!! |

LOL Congrats Sadie! That's fantastic! I'm still having trouble with the drop command with Teddy so I live vicariously through other people's accomplishments
