| Best Cesar Millan book??? Which of his books is best for telling you how to train your dog regarding walking and aggression/fear during these walks? Which book is your favorite for "training"? THANKS!!

| I got a bunch of his DVD's from half.com... I know there's at least one on aggression... they usually have reviews on there too.

| Mickey turns into a "terror" when I take him out for walks. He barks, pulls and looks like he wants to bite. He has scratched a neighbor's hand when they reached for him to pet him outside (after Mickey was pulling, barking and showing aggressive type behavior). I do not think he bit him but caught his hand on Mickey's tooth as Mickey was pulling away. It was tiny BUT... I want this to stop now! I want him to be the same lovable dog inside and outside.

| I haven't read all his books, but I'm currently reading "Cesar's Rules, Your Way to Train a Well-Behaved Dog". So far it's been really helpful. I'm trying to read and implement all I can while Ozzy is still young. I've already read "How to Raise the Perfect Dog... Through Puppyhood and Beyond". So far everything is working well. His potty training, walking, play, and interactions with other dogs and people have all been really good. Yesterday my neighbour told me she was completely jealous of us because she's never seen such a well-behaved little dog. I took that as a great compliment (my thanks to Cesar). I know Cesar has videos also, and I've watched a lot of his shows. I don't know if you have Tivo or some other thing you can record with, but I suggest you tape all his shows. The best thing about them is that he comes in when there is a behaviour that's already out of control, and teaches the people how their actions/reactions/attitudes have helped to develop these behaviours and how they can stop them. Keep in mind that just because on the TV show everything seems solved in 30 minutes, this will not really be the case, but using his methods will help you if you put in the time and effort. ETA: just looked on eBay and there are tons of Cesar DVDs. Special ones like "Agression" and his series seasons.

| I got the 6 cd training set on eBay called Mastering Leadership for $50. Number 5 deals with Behavior issues. Once people come up to Mickey and he checks them out he is fine. Hopefully I can find something to help with the approach and seeing people/animals from a distance in our neighborhoodand coming in the home. It is so strange cuz he is the biggest lover to family members. And if I take him out to a dog store (Petsmart, Petco, Bark,...) he is fine. Weird. Also enrolling him in a Basic Obedience Class. I read online this can help a lot too. The clas description said it could help with the issues he has.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | We rented the series on Netflix and I watch his show on the National Geographic channel. I really believe you have to see Cesar in action to truly understand what he's talking about. Also I'm not sure everyone can do what Cesar does, he truly has a gift, and is indeed a dog whisperer. However, I think seeing how he acts and behaves and what he does with his body can give you lots of information, if you’re observant. He is assertively, not aggressively in control. Also, Cesar doesn't over talk, like many trainers, I think when training, the few words spoken the better. If I were to buy a book, I’d buy “Nothing in life is free, it’s has a lot of Cesar’s philosophy. Here’s a site that explains the Nothing in Life is Free concept. Should You Use ?Nothing in Life Is Free? with Your Dog? : The Dog Trainer :: Quick and Dirty Tips Here she talks about going for a walk: Quote:
