| It takes time and patience and consistency...every one of them is different. He is still very young and after only two days maybe you are just expecting a little too much I have heard that they cannot fully control their bladders until six months of age. hang in there and once he learns what you are expecting him to do he will be eager to please

| should i let him sit? a few min ago he was playing. he ran to his potty with his toy like it was the bed or something. i am going shopping in like 15 min I have been up with him since 6. I wanted to bring him but he smells a lttle because of last night. so i am going to have to crate him. he is going to poop & pee in it again. i am going to be gone for about 6 hours. sould i just spray him up & bring him.? | well I thnk 6 hrs is a long time for a crate....maybe if ya had a baby gate and could gate in a area that she cant do much damage would be better. Ya could put her pee pads adn maybe food and water in there. What I ahve learned is that ya shouldnt give her food and water in her crate cause she wil surely use the bathroom in it... Good luck

| I agree. Six hours is too long to expect a puppy to stay clean & dry. They just can't do it! In fact, 2 hours is pushing it for one that young. Redhoney, it will most likely take w-e-e-k-s to potty train him. You're going to have to be patient! The most important thing is to praise him lavishly when he does get it right. I always gave a small piece of "people food" as a reward when Joey went where he was supporsed to. What you don't want to do is get mad and yell at him. That only encourages him to hide when he has to go. |
