| Letting Yorkie's sleep in your bed? I have let my Yorkie Lola sleep in my bed from night two. I found that was the only way to make her sleep through the night, as she just cried all night in her crate. I just wondered what you lot do? Do you let your Yorkie in your bed? Opinions on it?

| Yes! Same here, from the 2nd or 3rd day I had her, so I could sleep! She's no problem in bed. Goes to sleep right away every night and has never had a potty accident in bed. My only issue is that she doesn't like to sleep in on weekends...and I'd like to.

| Yep, Zhoie started sleeping with us when she was right around 5 mos and fully trained. It was our choice, she sleep in her house, but we wanted her with us. My girl's a real bed bug, she will hang in as long as we sleep.

| Ruby sleeps between me and hubby and has been sleeping with us since she was 5 mos old. She is pee pad trained , and gets up during the night to use her pad. She also has a bed on a bench at the end of our bed that she uses. |

| Mine both started sleeping in my bed as soon as they were potty trained, before that they slept in either a crate (my older one) or an expen setup (my younger one).

| Nice to find some like minded people! The lady who runs the puppy class I take Lola too tells me off for putting her in my bed. I couldn't let her cry all night - it was the only way to get some sleep! She seems to like sleeping in my bed though, and as long as she's happy, I'm happy

| Kaji sleeps with me also. But that was months after I had gotten him. Now, I can't sleep without my cuddle bug with me.

| A little backwards but..... Yes, I DO realize this is inherently the opposite of what most desire!! However, as a yorkie owner for 20+ years, I've always had them sleep in bed with me & NEVER had any undesirable consequences.* My newest lil' man, Frankie, has been trained/accustomed to sleeping in his crate (which is in my room) from day 1. He is now a little more than one year old & I'd like for him to sleep with me.* Before Frankie, it had been about 8 yrs since last getting & training a puppy so I cannot remember how we transitioned our other dogs from sleeping in the crate to on the bed. ** Anyway, I decided to give it a shot last night. OH BOY!!!!! Frankie was super excited and wanted to crawl all over or jump on my head & give kisses. Super cute but it was supposed to be night-night time! Lol. So I created a makeshift "pillow fence" near me so it forced him to stay within a smaller, enclosed area on the bed. He eventually settled down & after some petting & scratching, he fell asleep. Five minutes later, he's back to jumping around, giving kisses & trying to wiggle through the pillow fence. Once again, *he did relax and fell asleep but only for a few minutes. Then, I repeated the above but to no avail. I finally acquiesced and put him back in his crate where he fell (& STAYED) *asleep all night.* So, can anyone recommend some tips to essentially "train" Frankie to sleep in my bed? I have read about using toys and treats but I don't want him to equate being in the bed with playtime (which is when he gets those things). He's seriously got more energy than a busload of Kindergarteners & the ONLY time he honestly relaxes/sleeps is while in his crate.* Any advice would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!! ;-) |

| I tried crating Gizmo and it got to the third week with little to no sleep. So, we finally caved and let him in our bed and he sleeps at the bottom, sleeps throughout the whole night, and we're all happier. I never thought I would allow a dog in my bed, but it's so sweet to have a little furbaby be your alarm clock in the morning. The key to it, IMO, is making sure you have a set schedule that you stick to so there are no accidents.

| Bentley has been sleeping with us since he's been about 2 months old. I got during the night for awhile 3 to 4 times a night to have him go potty, but now he sleeps all night long. He enjoys his sleep as much as we do. He is so funny. He curls up in a little ball between us. |

| Sophie has been in my bed since day 2 also. She sleeps right by my face, with me usually holding her. If I get in bed first, she just comes right up there. She will sleep with me as long as I am in bed. And if I take a nap during the day, she's right there too. I have a lazy little girl
