| Am I doing this right? We are still crate training Tay. She is doing really good with no pottying in her crate and going outside, as she knows she is suppose to do it outside. BUT, its rainy and wet out and she hates that and I know it. She will stay out there long enough to pee, but won't poop. I reward her when she does anything outside by giving her a treat immediately when she does it outside so she knows. I did this when she peed, but its way past time for her to poop, and I think she won't do it outside because its wet and she is cold and doesn't lie to be in the rain/wet, who could blame her. So I bring her back in and put her in the crate til I take her back out again to poop. Is this right? Or is this overlooking the purpose since she did do *something* outside? Normally when its just time for her to pee, I give her like a half an hour out of crate and play time but when she does both, I give her to an hour and hour and a half... Is this okay to do -- am I doing it right even though she did pee outside but didn't poop?

| Yes you are doing this correctly. But rather than wait for another 1/2 hour or so, try again after 10 - 15 minutes. Or you could allow her to play for a 1/2 hour but watch her every move and as soon as she does the poo-poo dance, take her outside!. Either way works. |

I agree, I think you are doing a great job. After she pees just keep a very close eye on her and when she starts circling and sniffing, head outside! Keep up the good work, and good luck!
