9 year old and 5 year old toy yorkies + guilt = HELP I am a proud owner of two toy yorkies (Holly, 9 and Sophie, 5). I crate them during the day and sleep with them at night. But, it's coming to a point where I realizing that I do not actually sleep at night since they are up, walking around me. I'm wondering if I should start crating them at night. My gut tells me yes, but my guilt makes me keep allowing them to sleep with me. I work from 8-5 and get home around 545. They are crated during this time. I'm wondering, is this a lot of crating for these little angels? I was thinking that maybe I should be put them in my guest bathroom during the day so they would have more space, but I worry about them making a mess (pottying). Any thoughts??? Please help.

Personally, I think it's waay too long. The bathroom would be better. Put a piddle pad down and food and water. Isn't there a way you can come home for lunch and let them out?

No I can't. I live 45 minutes from work. I'm looking for someone to come by my condo during the week to help. Cross your fingers. I didn't use to have this problem. I've had a major life change and we are still adjusting to our new surroundings.

Are you worried about them using the bathroom in the house, or will they destroy things? | |

All is well, the bathroom situation is working out great and they are using the pee pads. I'm having a lady come by today to talk about doggy daycare. Thanks so much for everyone's advice!
