| crying all night Hi can anyone advise me on crate training I did not do this with Alfie but Iam trying my best with Lottie to crate train her ,problem is she crys all night long in the crate , I let her go to sleep with me then put her in the crate when sleeping but as soon as she is aware that Im not there she starts to whimper then goes in to full blown crying, i then try putting my hand in the crate this settles her some then it all starts again , I want to her her in our room but after 3 sleepless nights its not looking great. Any ideas. |

| I think it's because you let her sleep with you then you put her in the crate. Do you crate when your at work? I think crating would only work on some dogs. Not all dogs can be crated. |

| when I got mine he was already getting use to the crate training. I had no problems sleeping. i really dont have much advice, then to tell you whenever she cries just try to ignore her. I know thats going to be hard cus it just so heartbreaking to hear her cry. Good Luck |

| Yorkies Will Not Potty Where They Sleep Quote:
If you allow your baby to sleep with you, I promise you he/she will wake you up to go potty (ear kisses) - we take ours outside. Mini had only one accident (pee) at the foot of the bed on the first night ~ she was very embarrassed and it never happened again. You have to remember babies have small bladders and cannot hold all night - so, if they're very young, at first they might wake you every 2-3 hours, then once or twice, very soon they'll adjust to your hours and sleep all night. But give no water after 6:00pm, take the baby to potty at bedtime and you will have the best (four legged) bed partner you've ever had! I've also learned from experience to make the rule, "bed is for sleeping, not playing" Try it, you won't regret it!

| All puppies cry at first, it will depend on the puppy if he/she does it for hours or days. But they do get use to it. My Petey is being crate trained and he HATES it!! But he doesn't cry anymore, except in the morning when its time to get out (5:30am??)

| When I travel my girl was to sleep in the kennel but I put the kennel on the bed right near my head. She good in a kennel but in a strange place she needs to hear and see me. I try a warm water bottle and even a ticking clock to help. Joy |
