| How long so When I catch my yorkie puppy starting to pee on the carpet, I take him straight to his pee pad. Even of he has only made a tiny drop on the carpet, he does not finish on the pee pad. How long do I keep him on the pad if he doesn't finish right away? A few minutes, or wait as long as it takes? How long is too long? HELP!! Any additional house training info will be appreciated! Puppy is almost 10 weeks. |

| First of all, don't give him free roam of your house. That is a big no no. Too much space, and he'll have enough room to poop and pee somewhere and sleep somewhere clean. Confine him however you feel comfortable, ex-pen or crate training. 10 weeks is also a bit young to be separated from his furmom, don't expect miracles, he's still young! Whatever you do, just be consistent. If you do a YT search for potty training, there is a plethora of threads on the subject. Lots of techniques to pick from, and you can choose whatever you feel comfortable with and stick with it. Yorkies are smart, but so very stubborn.
