| Good luck with the cleaning issue. I'm usually the one that pulls all the toys out of the toybox, instead of the girls. I try to find something new and exciting for them to play with. My husband usually says, who made a mess, and I usually confess. But I am trying to teach them to pick up the dirty clothes that I drop on the stairs when I bring it to the washer. As my shadows follow me, I just ask them to bring it along with them. They pick up everything else; why can't they pick up that dirty sock that I drop! Let me know if you find the answer. |

| I've been teaching Jackson to pick up things and put it a basket or a specific place. This is when he first learned: I used clicker training to teach.

| I haven't gotten a box for Silver's toys yet. She has about 12 laying around but I think it would be my roommate getting them all out and making a mess before Silver. He picks all the toys up, squeaks them, makes noise with them, whatever it may be. Then when she comes running he throws them one at a time just to bug her so she doesn't know which one to pick up.

| We did it guys!!! Me and Kujo worked VERY hard today and he got it! i used a homemade clicker(pm me and i'll tell you how to make one) and I am going to be posting a video of it whenever the camera decides to start working again... i just used what he knows about the names of his toys, said (ex.) "go get Bumble!" he got Bumble and i told him to bring it and drop it. eventually, i removed my hand and replaced it with the basket. i started saying "in the basket!" and he picked it up oh so quickly!!!! im so excited

| YAY!! Go Kujo! That is AWESOME! I can't believe I'm just seeing this thread again, or I would have replied to your question. I would say let me know if you have any more questions, but it seems Kujo is a super smartie! Congrats.

| all you have to do is what i described in my previous post. all they need to know is bring it, and drop it. when they bring and drop the toy in your hand, because they know thats whats getting a treat, introduce the basket. hold your hand over the basket so that they will bring it and drop it at your hand. slowly take your hand away, and they will start dropping it in like it's second nature! just add the cue "in the basket!" after your hand is completely moved out of the area.
