YorkieTalk Newbie! | My max TAKE A LOOK OF MY YORKIE'S PICS AND LET ME KNOW IF HE IS PURE HE IS ALMOST 10 POUNDS AND HE HAS LONG LEGS AND HE IS PRETTY LONG HE IS 14 MONTHS OLD AND KICKING...... Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Some yorkies grow out of the standard so I wouldnt worry too much about weight. What colour were his parents? I only ask because he is not the standard colour for a yorkie.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | max his parents are tan with black on top max is mostly gold most with tan highlights he is starting to get some black hairs on top and from what i know yorkies take up 2 yrs to get their final colour.... |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Hmm it just seems strange to me because Ive never seen another like him. Usually the black puppy coat will turn grey/blue... not tan then grey/blue. But thats not to say that these things cant happen! I find it really fascinating. Was he the standard colours (black and tan) as a pup? If he was all tan maybe he is classed as a 'golden yorkie'? He is gorgeous by the way.

YorkieTalk Newbie! | when i got him he was all gold i have done some recearch and u r right he falls in the category of goldies now he is semi-tan and we will see about the rest ...time will tell i was just curious though because the vet's statement was "there is no way that he is a yorkie.... anyhow i adore him ..... thanks for the info |
