| Regression after Spay? Piper got spayed on Wednesday and while she wasn't 100% potty trained she was doing a great job. While in the past two days she has has more accidents than she has had in a long time. Have you found that this was typical with your dog? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have heard that sometimes after being spayed they can have accidents for a little while. A pom puppy I fostered last year came down with a UTI a few days after being spayed. She was peeing every 5 -10 minutes though so I knew it wasn't normal. Medicine cleared it right up. So if she is peeing more often or straining to pee I would have her checked out. You may want to call your vet anyway just to ask him if it is normal.

| It's normal. It should pass in a few days time.

| We are experiencing the same thing with our Fizz. She was spayed 2 days ago and also has been having accidents. I think it has to do with the change in routine (missing her walks) and just feeling to sick to make it to her pee pad. Hopefully it will resolve itself in a few days as others have suggested. It's awful seeing them not feeling well - hang in there!
