| At A loss any suggestions? Sorry if this is long, I have had 2 yorkies that I got as puppies Shaffer and fife, They are 6 now, Fife died almost a month ago.I did not have a problem potty training them, yes it was hard and yes they had accidents but they were traind. I got another dog that I found on craigslist. I am his 4th person, He seems to be sort of trained he knows to go outside but he thinks going inside is also fine, he was going in my spare bathroom on the bath rug so I thought maybe he was wee wee pad trained so I bought some for him and he does go on them. I work at home so I take them out about every 3 or 4 hours. Cooper mt new dog is about 3 pounds so his tinkle isnt that much. He did come with belly bands that he doesnt seem to mind wearing but I would prefer only to use them if we visit people, He also LIVED in his crate, he came with a crate that a lab would fit in I set it up for him but i dont close it if he wants in it he can go in,, he hasnt yet. Well here is my issue,,, He pees in his water bowl, I have not seen him do it but he has,, I am 100% sure its not shaffer. I first thought it was a fluke but he has done it more than a few times,,, He also pees in my shower,,, I dont love that but im ok with it, I have more than 1 waer bowl sown and he only does it in his water bowl that he came wiht... any thoughts are helpful thanks, He is a gem of a dog, he is 2 years old and is just starting now to live life,,, He knows what toys are now chewwies and love. He will be fixed on friday and have a dental. |

| Thank you for rescuing this little one. I don't really know what to say except maybe after he gets used to you and his new home, get an expen or keep him in one area and slowly move the pad towards the door to get him potty trained outdoors. As for pottying in his bowl, maybe pick his bowl up when he's not drinking and put it down only when he needs water?? Maybe put it by the pee pad and keep an eye on him and put him on the pad when he shows signs of peeing? Then praise and treat when he uses the pad? Also, I guess when he does go outside, really praise and treat so he can associate it with going outside. Best of luck.
