| DOMINANCE or AGRESSION??? I'll try to be brief as possible. Zhoie is 1 1/2, her yorkie friend Jussi is 1 yr 2 mos, they see each other every week or so since Jussi came home from breeders. They get along really well, excited to play with each other. Zhoie established dominance from the beginning by hold him down and growling and Jussi complied. The issue is, Jussi has 2 sisters now out of the same litter, they are 6 mos, came home at 12 wks and Zhoie has seen them every week or so since they came home. However, she runs from one to the other holding them down and making a horrible growing sound. She has never bitten one of them, and this goes on for a long time before she stops and they all interact. Example: we went to visit last night and there was a female Westie that came to over also, she had met her nor did she seem to pay any attention to her. But as soon as she saw the little girls, she started running back and forth holding them down. She does settle after awhile, but if they start jumping about her head, she starts it all over again. What the heck is this about and how can I help Zhoie overcome this behavior? I'm so at a loss with this.
