Yorkie Yakker | 5 months might be a lil young for your Yorkie. My old roommate had 2 lil pups she was raising at the same time a Maltese & Yorkie and they wouldn't walk on a leash until after 6months. Depending on your dogs sz it might be awkward for your pup to walk on a leash. But no matter what your dog should be using a harness and not just a collar and leash. Yorkies have atypically weak tracheas, so they need to be on a harness when being walked.

| Maybe have him sniff the piano and be up near the keys. I know my Sydney would bark and growl every time we used the treadmill. I then held her while I used it one day. She fell asleep and now it doesn't seem to bother her. As for the leash, put the harness and leash on him everyday and walk him around the house. Keep him on a short leash and make him walk your pace. Sydney is ten-months-old now and I started her on a harness and leash when she was 12-weeks-old. I had to use twist to make her harness fit, but she got the idea. |

| Maybe you could take the wee one for a walk when your son is practicing.
