Hey,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Sadie pees in her crate every night without fail. I'm a very light sleeper and she doesn't wake me up to pee, but she wakes me up to go #2. It's really starting to drive me nuts! I have to change her blankets in her crate every morning, and wash the very bottom of it, hoping that the scent will be gone and she wont want to pee there anymore, but she always does. We go out once during the night to pee aswell, so I don't know why she does this all the time? Any ideas?

How old is Sadie now? How much room are you allowing her in her crate? All of it? or do you have some of the space blocked off? Is this the only time Sadie is in her crate. What part of the house is the crate when you have her in it?

our little girl poops in the crate ONLY if she's riding in the car. i took her to the vet today and sure enough. ppppppppllllllllllllllll....

i hoping her nerves will get more settled as she rides in the car more often.

I too was going to ask how big her crate is and how old is she? They say to add an hour to the dogs age when they are babies. So a 4 month old should be able to hold if for 5 hours. Also, you may want to stop feeding/water and a certain time and give her one last chance to potty before you go to bed. All my dogs have their FINAL potty of the night @ 10 pm and they can make it through the night until about 7. There are occasions when someone may have to go, but it is not frequent.

If the cage is way big, you may want to consider a smaller one. Majority of dogs won't go where they sleep, they would rather hold it. That is one of the pro's of crate training.
Or you may want to consider letting her sleep in an x-pen with puppy pads, until she gets a bit older. My babies did this until about 3-4 months. It was too much to ask of them to hold it when they were so young.

She is 6 months now and has the whole crate...its not massive but its a good size. She is in the crate for a couple of hours during the day when no one is home, and in the kitchen/familyroom/hallway when we are home so we can keep an eye on her. She always has her night time pee around 10, and then we go out around 2am to go, and then we wake up at 6 and she goes again. But somewhere in between those times she goes in the crate. And I know she can hold it for more than 4 hours. I just don't get it lol

She is old enough to hold it, you are right. I think that the crate may be too big. You need to make it small enough so all she has room to do is stand, turn and lay down. Don't give her any room to go potty in some corner of the crate. That should help. Also, clean up the urine smells with a neutralizer real good in the crate. I might even replace the old pads or blankets with new ones that haven't been pottied on. I would throw food or doggies snacks (crumbs or otherwise) in the crate, all over. You may even want to smear peanut butter or liver paste on the sides of the crate if it's not a metal crate. Dogs don't like to void where they eat, so if this area becomes a source of food, she may try to hold it better.

She may be pottying because she is stressed out or missing you. I would look at the location of your crate and make sure that it's in the mist of activity, while being in a safe place. If it's a metal crate, put a cover over it, to make her feel safer and more den like.

That's about all the suggestions I can think of right now.
