| Crate Training at 11 months? When we first got our Yorkie, my girlfriend thought it would be cruel to lock him up in a crate so we didn't crate train him. In an effort to try and deal with his separation anxiety (we've tried ignoring him before leaving/when we come back, playing with him to try and tire him out before we leave, using a citronella collar), I thought maybe crate training might help or at least make him a little more obedient. Would this be a good idea? Also, does anybody have any recommendations for good crates? |

| I didn't use the crate training on mine. When I leave I either give them a treat before I step out or hide treats around the house to keep them busy. Crate trainning is a good idea if your not gone for a long period of time. Good Luck!!

| Bumping this for you. Please do a search of YT threads. There are lots of threads concerning separation anxiety. The search button is that the top of your screen on the right side. I use ex-pens. Keeps them safe but gives room to play, sleep, and piddle. Use washable piddle pads. ~Joanne~
