| Please help me to understand Why do dogs poop in the house? They have all day access to the outdoors in a very protected covered totally enclosed pen via a doggie door. They go outside when I go in the yard, they go out to look around but the seldom go out to poo. I also have pee pads and they don't use those either. Now that it is raining here I have pee pads everywhere because the primadonnas won't step foot on dampen ground. Ugh I just don't understand. |

| does your dog poop in the same place? From what I know, the smell is what drives dogs to poop. My friend told me to tell my little Maya - "NO" when she does it inside and then take it (the poop) to the right place. In your case - outside and say "here". It worked for me... |

| Do they poop in the same place? Yes sort of. I guess it makes sense that they go back to the smell. Someone suggested 7 days to house train your dog. I think I will also take a look at that. It just gets so frustrating. Just when I think they have it it goes and rains for a week straight. UGH! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Have you used an enzyme cleaner to clean the floor where they usually go? If not, the smell is still there & draws them back to the spot. That is important. Take the poop outside & leave it for several days after you know the indoor poop spot is completely odorless. A lot of people use Nature's Miracle solution to clean. I use Urine Off Dog & Puppy Formula. It works good.
