| Playing with Dogs in the Park Hello everyone, I've been trying to teach Chuchi to play with other dogs at the park before he reaches 6 months and he's come a long way. At first he was intimidated by all dogs (even a tiny 7 year old pincher). Now he taked some time to get used to the dog and as long as the dog isn't too violent he tries to play with them, barks lightly for attention etc... However he still seems to be intimidated by them and tries to hide behind me... I'm not sure if its best to keep letting him play with the dogs and avoid him hiding behind me or what would be the best way to have him used to playing with all types of dogs without being dominated by them. Yesterday in the afternoon he played with 2 gold labs but kept his distance and would just smelled them once in a while and let himself be smelled. With kids there is no issue, just with other dogs. Last night in the park he defended himself against the same pincher, but the pincher gained confidence and constantly tried to hump him Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks! Aron |
