| He Bites! Anyone have or had issues with your teething yorkies biting you? Jackson tries to eat my hands. He has more than enough to chew on, but prefers me and the Ceasor Milan finger bite to the side is no longer effective. Help! |

| Puppies don't know the difference from chewing on your finger's or chewing on one of their bones unless you teach them. I know how painfull it can feel. My daughter had a Min Pin and his teeth were like needles when he chewed on my hand. Oh the pain. Buddy's wasn't nearly that bad but to break the habit I would sit on the floor and play with him and when he grabbed my hand to chew I would say No Bite and put his chew bone in his mouth. It may take a couple of days but he will learn that he has to chew on his bone and not you. They pick up fast just be consistant. |

| the joys of teething :/ I know exactly how you feel. My baby tries to bite everybody’s hand. When he does this to me and just say NO and give him a toy to chew on. I feel like they just rather have your hand than anything else lol! but if he doesn’t give up I just put him on the floor so he doesn’t have access to my hand...only the toys on the floor. Can't wait until the teething stage is over! |

| Davinci is almost 4 months old and uses me as a teething toy 'if' I allow him to. His teeth feel like needles! He, however, does not know that and must be taught not to chew on me. I firmly tell him no and put him on the floor at my feet. Mother dogs will nip and growl at puppies in the same manner in order to teach them not to 'teeth' on her. Since we are their new mothers it is our job to teach them what is and is not appropriate behavior. I always redirect him to one of his toys to teach him what he can chew on. He still makes mistakes but my hands do not bear any scars thankfully, lol. |

| I get the licks first, as if to say "I'll just have a sly lick to make you think their kisses and then I'll chomp on your fingers." But like the others have said I distract him and give him something else to chew on, although his chewing is actually very gentle.

He's not a weirdo, he's a puppy! Why would you say something like that? Puppy's are puppy's. They play and bite, it's natural. They are so innocent. It is the owner's responsiblity to train the puppy to be good and behave. They aren't born knowing these things. When he comes back for more get up and leave him. He'll get the message. Remember do babies know how to do things we know how to do? No, neither do puppy's. | |

| Zoey, is going through this too right now. I usually just try to distract her with one of her chew toys. Good Luck.

| thank you, I wasn't going to respond to that. Also, in my previous post i mentioned that biting him back doesn't work, surprised no one got me for that, which was a joke as well, although it has crossed my mind, LOL |
